Hi, Lina, it was really good to see you again the other week after what, was it more than ten years now? I believe that I chanced upon you at a time that I needed to be in touch with you again. Maybe it will take years again before we bump into each other, but after knowing about your blog and reading your entries, I realize now the significance of that meeting. I still keep your first collection of poetry, although I must admit the cover is no longer in very good condition. I keep it like I keep books such as Clarissa Pinkola's Women Who Run With the Wolves because I go back to them when I need to "return home." I've missed this kind of reportage/writing. I don't know how to name it--marrying journalism and literature? I like the name "archipelago" because we need to remind ourselves that's who we are and, I want to believe, what we still can be. I hope many more young people will have the chance to read your essays/stories. I wish I can help you do this, if you will allow me, although I've already given up my Agenda project for high school students. We'll think of ways.
Dearest Clark, Maraming salamat sa sulat mo. Sana magkita pa tayo muli. Pero sana huwag naman aabot nang another 18 years! Pag may batch reunion kayo imbitahin nyo ako,ha? Lina
